Village Goldsmith Scoops Top Award

At the gala presentation ceremony of the New Zealand Jewellery Show, in Auckland on 16th July, Village Goldsmith apprentice, Nick Hensman, 19 years old, was awarded the winners prize for fine jewellery in the National Design Awards, with his piece "Erays".

This was an extraordinary achievement for one so young particularly since he has only been crafting jewellery for 12 months. The Village Goldsmith were thrilled that out of the four finalists two of them came from our company! The other finalist was Chris Persen with his wonderful necklace entitled "Timeline"
